How long will it take my carpet to dry?
Carpet that has been dry cleaned can be walked on almost immediately, as long as your feet/shoes are clean. At the completion of steam cleaning, the carpet will be touch-dry. This is achieved only by our unique method of cleaning, which enables us to extract up to 90% of the moisture, leaving the carpet to dry within hours not days.

Can I walk on the carpet as soon as it has been cleaned?
Yes you can, however we recommend that you allow a reasonable amount of time for the carpet to dry before putting it back into full use as this will limit the amount of dirt that may be attracted to damp carpet from your shoes or feet.

How often should I clean my carpet (residential)?
Carpet manufactures recommend the cleaning of carpets should be carried out once every 12 months. If you have pets, children or are subject to allergies you may need to have carpets cleaned more frequently.

Why isn’t weekly vacuuming enough?
Even the best vacuum cleaner will not be able to reach the deep-down dirt and grit at the base of your carpets fibres. Regular cleaning is needed to help your carpet maintain its original appearance.

Why does stain resistant carpet need to be deep cleaned?
While the fibres in these carpets have been pre-treated to resists stains, deep cleaning is still needed to remove embedded dirt and grit and allergens such as dust mites, mould and pet hairs.

How often shall we have the carpet cleaned (commercial)?
For a cleaner and healthier environment for you and your staff it is recommended that carpets and upholstery be cleaned at least every 6-12 months. Our technicians are able to assist you in putting a maintenance program in place to maintain a clean environment all year round.

Why does the carpet get dirty so quickly soon after it’s been cleaned?
There are a number of contributing factors that may lead to carpets resoiling quickly after cleaning.

  • Incorrect cleaning methods applied by unqualified technicians
  • Using incorrect solutions (high PH levels)
  • Using less powerful (often portable) equipment
  • Incomplete rinsing leaving chemical residues

Can I obtain accurate quote for carpet cleaning over the phone?
An estimate quote can usually be given over the phone, though it is always based on the information that you provide. If it turns out the situation is significantly different when we arrive, the estimate may be adjusted.

What furniture would be expected to be moved when I have my carpets cleaned?
Premium Carpet Cleaning will include furniture moving for the following items: sofas and lounge suites, tables and chairs, beds on wheels and light furniture that one technician could expect to move.

Furniture that we don’t move includes bookcases, fishtanks, waterbeds, china cabinets, computers and delicate or fragile items. It is always best to remove items to an area that is not being cleaned before we arrive.

What stains will be removed when I have my carpets cleaned?
A spot is a substance that is adhered to the carpet fibre, but has not become set. A stain is more advanced and may have become set. A professional carpet cleaner will remove all spots (food, grease, mud, etc).

A professional carpet cleaner will have more problems removing a set or permanent stain compared to a spot. Premium Carpet Cleaning carries a range of stain removal solutions for the removal of coffee, tea, blood, cola, urine, red wine etc. If the stain has not set and become permanent, these stains can often be successfully removed.

What can be done about pet stains and odour?
Treat the area as soon as possible. Urine removal is most successful by washing the contaminated piece. Blot up any foreign matter. Enzyme treatment is a common step to eliminate odors. Call Premium Carpet Cleaning ASAP to prevent permanent changes in your carpet’s appearance.

Will I be charged a cancellation fee if I cancel my booking?
No. However, a courtesy call and at least 24 hours notice is appreciated!

What guarantee does Premium Carpet Cleaning provide?
Premium Carpet Cleaning will guarantee to clean to Australian Standards 1995-3775. We do not guarantee to remove permanent stains. Any claims or re-cleans will only be accepted up to 7 days from initial clean.
